Wanted: dug relic mg15 parts

Generalieutnant Carl Rodenburg

This was sent to me by his daughter upon his passing. For many years I had contact with the General, as he was from the same town in Germany, Lübeck , where my family were from after they moved from East Prussia.

I have a large file of our correspondence and other photos from over the years with the General.

This photo was taken on the morning of the surrender when he had been presented with the oakleaves to his K.C. at Stalingrad by Feldmarshal Paulus and the photo was flown out with one of the last aircraft to leave. His wife was simultaniously presented with his oakleaves in Berlin.

Interesting Award

I am posting this interesting award, not to raise argument pro or con, only for discussion. Some may have been privileged to stories about this specific piece and, those who have are entitled to their opinion. After you have ample opportunity to discuss this a bit, I shall reveal the true facts and documentation as I have it and will post several additional photos that will then include the reverse and close ups of sections of the award. The award does appear to have been worn at one time.

The photos below depict this unique piece close up and in it’s original period case. I will tell you that there have been pieces produced, replicating this badge, back in the 1960’s by the firm of Rudolf Souval in Austria. Please do not confuse this that I present with the Special Combined Pilot Observer Badge with Brilliants, as it is not the same nor am I representing it to be.

Enjoy!

SSch36 Helmets/ Pics attached / Opinions

Hello, here are pics of 3 helmets I can purchase. They range from $350-$650. I do not know if the repaint on the first one with complete liner is original wartime done. The other 2 helmets have what looks like the original wartime paint.

I would like opinions about these helmets please. If the first re-painted helmet could be stripped of the paint, IF the paint is post war done, I do not know the condition of the paint underneath.

I could also take the good complete liner out of that one, and put it in one of the other shells. What does everyone think of that idea? I like the color and condition of the other 2 helmets also.
With the combo of the 3 helmets, if I buy all of them, one real nice helmet could be put together, and re-sell the others.

What do you think??

I do not like to mess with original items, and it is just a thought, so I can get a nice complete helmet, for what seems half the going price.

Also a pic of a pilotka cap? I do not know if it is WWII, any help with that? and other items pictured will be appreciated.

Regards, Steve
