Jersey - The Command Bunker

Ok guys.,....this is the one. The best museum on the Island.

The guys from the Channel Island Occupation Society have restored this Command Bunker to an absolutely superb condition with many original pieces inside and, indeed, outside. Note the 6 meter range finder and the turrets !

I would like to thank Paul for allowing me to visit the place on a day when it isn't normally open. A great guy with a knowledge that could even rival Ade's !!! Thanks Paul !

If you ever get a chance to get over to Jersey, this is a MUST see.

Jersey - The museums

Ok....this load of pics are from the military museum (displayed within a bunker) and also a couple of items from the Maritime museum. The military museum was JAMMED out with stuff so I've picked the best bits. The Char-B turret is still in place atop the bunker :o :o

The maritime museum had a near perfect 88.....it was absolutely stunning !

Jersey - The war tunnels

One of the outstanding relics on the island is the Tunnel system designated Ho8. It goes on for MILES and is full of stuff.

It was built using Russian slave labour and other 'hired' labour. It was quite a sight !

The pic of the motorbike and Kubelwagon are for Ade :D :D

Please note the hammer. This was in the ceiling of the main entrance. One of the workers must have dropped it when they began to pour the cement and it has been there ever since....20 feet up...in the ceiling :o :o

Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen - relic - good or bad?

Hello,
this is a Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen which I bought some 10 yrs ago when I was just a little boy:)) - it is in a bad shape, a relic, but is it OK? the details look to be VERY SHARP (in comparison with my other TR WWII badges), but the back seems to be quite strange to me. Also, I bought it together with War Merit Cross 2nd class (a real one) and a NSDAP badge which turned out to be a fake, so I am quite suspicios.

As I don't have any other GAB which I would suppose to be real, I have no comparison.. so please feel free to tell me your opinions.
