I have a stupid question that will probably easily be answered and that is I have a load of paperwork which i just bought, and in amongst it all is a cert for the KVK. That looks like it has been signed by the General Fieldmarshall of the 12 Army Wilhelm List would this be his signature? Its penned and the certificate is real as they come and interestingly it is issued for Kephisia in may 41 which I believe is the Kreta campaign ? So would the big boss of 12th Army sign a piddly little KVK document?
I'm not too up on this paperwok, takes too long to research it then some one buys it in 2 seconds!
And yes Phil, I have an SS something in amongst it all:D

Hi ! I am not sure if this is the right place to post this but sorry if it's not .
Iwas at a friends parents house last week end and was looking at their old pictures and i found 3 photos of a u-boat in Nova scotia ,Canada.
The story we discover about it (thanks to friends from another forum ) that it was The U-boat 889 in 1945 at the time they surrender and were being escorted by the HMCS Rockcliffe J355 - Minesweeper HMCS Rockcliffe of the Algerine class ,Allocated to the Western Escort Force W-6, she was part of the group that captured German Type IX submarine U-889.
i found a pic of it in a site that shows the identical paint missing at the same place as my picture
Just wanted to share some pic with members i was like a kid when i found those
Frenchy
