Hi! Its the new guy again. Attached are some photos of a shaving kit that my step-father gave to me when I was seventeen (1975). My step-father was in the 50th Armored Infantry Bn. during WWII. After the war ended, he remained in Germany for awhile and was in charge of taking German POW's on work details. He could speak German so he had no problem communicating with the prisoners. He actually became friends with some of them, especially one named Boosmann (not sure if I spelled that right). Boosmann gave my step-father this shaving kit as a going away present shortly before he rotated back to the U.S.
He made it himself in the POW camp. The painting on the front is signed "PW Boosmann 1945". Again, I'm not sure I am spelling the name correctly. Maybe some of our German members might know what this name should be.
The initials on the back are "JCS" for John C. Snyder, my step-dad.
Hi Guys
This is one of my new pick-ups and I have a question:
The cuff title on the right hand side, marked "W" - Is this still an unknown RAD marking? because a book I have says that it probably means Wehrmacht!?
Regards
Dan
Hi Guys,
These two are recent finds.
The first two photos are of the green box, it has had some sort of cross in it that has left a shadow on the blue lining.
The second had an EK2 in it but I wondered if the receses at the top might be for a Bar to EK2?

Have this badge for a while now and have posted it on various forums where it came through with flying colours. Recently posted it on a new site and authenticity was questioned. The badge measures 36mm across and 28mm top to bottom. It is non-magnetic. Opinions will be greatly appreciated. Regards Thomas
Here are 2 enameled badges and a tinnie that have to do with Germans abroad.
The first is an Honor badge for the Colonial bund in stick pin form.
Second is the Badge of the Peoples Federation for the Germanic in Foreign Countries ( 15.5MM x 27MM )
Third is a tinnie for German colonies in Africa
Hi all. I have been offered this Cross at a very good price, but am clueless about WW1 items. Is this genuine and could someone perhaps tell me if this is a Godet or not. Regards Thomas
