Hi
Can anyone tell me which time period this buckle came from? I dug it from an area thats been used by the Army for training exercises since the Second World War. The metal on it doesnt seem to match, but they were found beside each other so its probably from the same belt.

If you didn't already know, this is the next series from HBO (Band of Brothers dynasty) and is based in the Pacific theater during WW2.
Release date end 2009
The trailer has been leaked on internet and it looks bloody fantastic.... It has since been removed from Internet by HBO but if I get hold of it I will let you all know.

Three Para Jackets and berets. The officers one is for the 7th. Bn (Somerset Light Infantry), dated 1943 beret dated 1943. 7th. Para Bn. first to drop on D Day, tasked to relieve Ox and Bucks on Pegasus bridge.
REME jacket and beret dated 1944.
