Hiya, does anybody know the value of a Kyffhäuserbundcap like the one the image as I just bought one. Mine doesn't have the insignia anymore, but they are not very hard to find. It has a sort of large Kyffhäuserbund pin on it, that doesn't seem to belong a cap.
I paid 60 euro's for it, which seems alright to me, but I know these caps don't go very high.
i baught this one for $75 at a military gun show this past weakend in Kentucky, US
part of my collection is this swallow tail flag which i havent seen to many around, a couple of moth holes but i think ad's to it, hope you like it as much as me, thought i would share with you.
cheer's Ronnie
I'm sorting through some of my junk as her indoors refers to it and I found these which I knew I had somewhere. The issue is the second type at the top of the photo, it has a bakelite grip which I haven't seen before. I have had these for arround 14 years. I just thought it might be interesting . to see what the forum thought I have heard DDR used these after the war could it perhaps be refurbished or is it period. The lanyard hook is missing, was it ever there could it be late war or has it been repaired?
The spike has the Luftwaffe waffenamt 5 and is RB No on reverse.
The removable housing has the serial 664(see photo) as does the body but the first digit is only just visible (possibily not on photo).
As you can see I have rediscovered them before the rust sets in propper as we had a bit of damp in the cellar.
Thank you in advance for any thoughts on it.:b:
Hi guys, I'm new here and just thought that for my first post I would share my delight at having found a genuine Glider Pilots Badge on Saturday just gone. After much deliberation and close up photos, I have it on good authority that mine is a good one and not one for your rogues gallery of fakes. it is unmarked but is correct in every manner, I have detailed close ups of the clasp and pin. I'm not a collector of badges but when I saw this little group of three, I thought I would take a gamble. The ww2 us marksmanship badge destined for ebay but the glider badge I'm unsure...do I sell and make handsome profit or do I keep and maybe add to it later on? regards chris
