Gentlemen,
There was a web page - in russian - that was in my pinion the best source of information on orders, medals and badges of the USSR. Tons of info on medals, their variations, as well as something that I found quite useful: The year that correspond to an award number.
But it has been several weeks since the page cannot be accesed. I wonder if any of you knew this page and can tell me if they have a new address, so I can enter again. The page was:

I'm hoping for help locating the ex-German WWII airfield in Roye/Amy, France, about 42 kms SE of Amiens. It was later a US Army Air Corps field where my Dad's 391st Bomb Group [9th Air Force] was based after deploying from Matching, UK. Dad & I are coming to the UK this spring for the 65th anniversary in Devon of Exercise TIGER, in which Dad's brother was killed, and I hope to take Dad for a sidetrip to Roye to see his old base, if still visible and not yet a McDonalds parking lot. Dad has told me he was billeted in "the Mayor's house" in Roye, so it would be cool if I could also show him that structure, if it is still standing. Dad was ground crew/maintenance, not a flyboy.
Does anyone have specific knowledge of Roye, the airfield, or any WWII veterans' groups in that vicinity who could point us to these sites or who might even be willing to show them to Dad. We'll have only a day or so of our vacation for this side trip, so linking up with a knowledgeable local person might eliminate wasted time looking for these sites, especially since we don't speak French. [I know a little from High School.] Histories of the 391st BG [and Dad himself] always refer to the airbase as "Roye/Amy," if that helps, but I think the town of "Amy" is even smaller.
There is a French-American military museum near Roye, but it is devoted to World War One, according to its website. The website for the town of Roye does not mention any links to local WWII events or sites, as far as I can tell.
Thanks for any help.
This guy's name looks like "Tilmen Krue" to me. But there is no listing in MY RKT listings for a Krue. Or anything close. I spent an hour looking for this guy. Has anybody any idea who he is? Thanks for any help.
Hi Guys
Be overly aware of "amazing" documents hitting the market.... The set of Valkyrie had hundreds of documents taken when filming stopped and these included copies of letters shown being typed in the film and signed.....
But all items were on modern paper so get your UV lights out ;)

Dan
This is a stunning cap and a 100% true "crusher" with a buckram pasteboard and very fine lightweight Trikot cover. Green band has a few small moth nips but you have to look hard to see them. Never had a chincord installed. Interior is beautiful with a light grey rayon lining, grey sweatband and most interestingly, a kind of transparent oilcloth shield (not cello) doubled stitched over the makers label, Deutsche Arbeit.
This one was left at home and never worn most likely, it's in fantastic condition. It's a little bent out of shape around the centre and the peak is slightly loose (no popped stitches though) from bad storage but nothing a few months on a display head wouldn't fix.
They don't come much better than this.
PRICE £1700
Paypal plus 4% unless you can do the mass payment method. (I can explain if interested) or bank transfer.
Hello folks,
I am looking for a set of silver buttons that go on the SS formal evening dress jacket. They are the ones with the SS runes on the front. Also looking for the same, but smaller, for the vest.
Thanks,
Harry
Here's some more relics I found in the north of France some years ago. Nice examples of serious damaged lids. They both toke some hits, one still has the aluminium liner with a shot straight through it.
I think if they get treated with acid a lot of paint will show. Had these for years, but as I am cleaning out some boxes of relics and detector finds I came across them. They are not grave markers, as they both don't have a small hole for a nail. I'll wack these on ebay as I am cleaning out a lot of old iron.
Both are jaweless, but the right is not oftenly seen, and earlier than a right one. They was found together a couple of years ago in the box approx a 50 pieces, in the old house in Muenchen
Nice set of moleskin collartabs, quite a rare Lufwaffe Waffenfarbe
