Can anybody tell me what unit this soldier was in?

I was wondering what the "SP" stands for on his greatcoat. I am pretty sure it does not stand for "Shore Patrol" :)

What does this Russian medal stand for?

I have this medal, but no idea what it stands for. Obviously it is a 265 years memorial medal, but that is ALL I know. Your help would be appreciated. Is it rare, or common? It comes in a wooden box with a plexiglass cover. It is approx. 8 cm in diameter.

Help with a real or fake question.

I am starting slowly with my tiny collection - but with some your help I can actually buy authentic!:) - I try and ID myself and compare because I want to get it myself but damn it! I come here again because you guys know best! I know it's not some rare badge or something but it's a start. I want to bid on this Infantry Assault Badge, but want to make sure it's real. So far I am a fantasy King! So give me your take and I hope that you don't mind me asking these questions. - If it is real - How can you tell if not how can you tell - if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks

Possible SA Man’s Kepi?

Hi,

I recently purchased a grouping German hats and this SA-type kepi was included. I was told it is original and tend to believe this dealer as all the other items I have purchased were great quality originals. That being said, he gave me little info and I have been having a hard time figuring out what exactly it is. The kepi made of light weight cotton/summer type material and is rather thin. I initially thought it to be a SA Gruppe Suedmark summer weight kepi, but the eagle and strap throw me off. For one thing, the eagle is facing left. I have seen police, Hitler Youth, and Political eagles identical to this one online. Also, the chinstrap has two buckles rather than three. The material is faded with age, but behind the eagle insignia, the fading is far less, which gives me the notion that the insignia was originally on this hat. I also see no signs of any other insignia having been there either (i.e. other holes). I am tempted to take the insignia off to look for any stampings (i.e. RZM), but thought I'd ask here first.
The interior is really rather basic. It has a simple leather head band as well as a cardboard-like material that allows the cap to keep its form. The rivets on the side are attached to this liner. I should also add that the hat has seen a considerable amount of use and has a good amount of sweat staining throughout. I do not see any tags or stampings of any sort. Is this an SA kepi or something else entirely? Does it possibly tie back to the police or Hitler Youth? I have seen photos of Hitler Youth members/leaders wearing kepis. Or is it a total fake? Any thoughts, comments, or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Bazooka M9A1

Here is a very nice M9A1 which was found in a barn some years ago in the Ardennes. Its dated 1943, and it comes complete with the tube and carrying band that I will get soon. I don't really collect American gear, but I like this one and think I will keep it in my collection, plus it is a present from a friend.

M.O’s Insignia

Got these sometime ago, the collar tabs are clean, probably off a dress uniform. The shoulder boards are filthy quite frankly and have seen some service.

What is your take? -this is a little off topic though

You all have really helped me out with my finding fakes and the goods in my measly collection. So here is another one for you. Having nothing to do with the military though. I am sure there is a ton of fake Jewish stuff out there and you guys can probably point it out quick. What do you think of the armband and badge. Authentic? Or bogus... It's so hard to figure these out!:D

Elephant badge, one for Ade

This stick pin came with the luft dagger i posted. I've posted it here because there doesn't seem to be a slot for it. Please delete or move if required. Its an elephant on the rampage under a palm tree. It has to my mind african connections and i'm unsure if its axis or allied or indeed war related but hope someone with the knowledge, Ade, can give a pointer as to what it represents, Afrika Korps or a sub unit there of or 8th army/ desert rats?
