I'm looking at an SS enlisted visor for sale. It looks real but is missing the "SS" emblem on the top of the hat (inside), and it doesn't have a "RZM label" on the inside either? Do you think it's real and how much do you think it's worth? Thanks
Haven't been able to find any Trieder binocle's that look like like this one, would appreciate any info you have! Info on the binocle: C.P.GOERZ 9X #92147.
Thanks,
Terry
A guy posted this for sale - just from a glance can you tell me anything about it? He writes that his grandfather picked it up in the war - thanks for any help. I know it would be quite hard to determine, but can you tell if it is authentic from such a shot - or at least give a guestimate?
Thanks
Here is a foto of a group of Wehrmacht soldiers relaxing near an underground bunker. It appears 3 of them are making repairs to their clothing. TAKE NOTE of the shoes the guy with the shaved head is wearing! What is up with those shoes? They look like women's shoes to me! Certainly not regulation boots. Can anybody tell me what it says on the back?
I've had this for a couple of years after I got it as a gift, but i have no idea what it is. My knowledge about 2ww items is very limited so I need some help here. Or is it even from the 2ww?
Anyway, anyone know what this thing is???
As most of you know, I am a civil visor collector, with a strong interest in the visors of the Polizei. Most police officers you see are actually EM/NCO visors with Officer's chincords, as the higher-ranked NCO's were allowed to wear them. (The give-away is the lesser-quality wool, padding, and lining, as well as the one-piece flat NCO eagle).
This is a true Officer's visor for an Officer of the Schutzpolizei (they used green Truppenfarbe). The hat is made by Robert Lubstein (Erel), and is their highest-quality class of hat, a "Privat", with the characteristic pale-green lining.
The eagle is also a true-officers, being a 2-piece model, with polished highlights. While the Kokarde is vented, there are no grommets behind either the eagle or the cockade, something usually seen on mid- to late-war caps (which this one is.)
This hat was never issued/worn, probably due to it's being a large size, approximately a 59-60:
I am looking for Mauser P38 Mags that are waffenampt marked 135. I understnad that they will not be serial numbered, I jsut want a spare to complete a P38 rig that I have. So if anyone out there has a WaA135 stamped mag and wants to part with it, please let me know. Thanks, Mike.
Does anybody have any idea what is up with these helmets a couple of the guys are wearing- with the stripes? Are they war games officials? Or what? Thanks. I have a lot of really interesting fotos on my website.
