Hi all
Here my new gwb maker mark L/57 wide pin not a common one
This little sticker would have been sold private purchase in a PX on some base, the same time frame as the M2 was being issued to the paratroops.
I think you all will enjoy this one, It is a Schrade M2 Paratrooper jump knife, it is pretty rare and in perfect working order with only minor wear. I put together a little scene that shows the knife as it appeared in Band Of Brothers.
Hi Guys, Phil had the idea that anyone wishing to give away spare unwanted items and who wished to donate them to forum members could do so via this thread.
Here is how I would like the system to work:
Post your item here.
Ask if you would like a donation to postage costs.
Also if you wish add any conditions to this item being given away, please add them. These could be you might prefer to give them to a new younger collector etc? Or maybe you would prefer it going to someone who has a mimimum number of posts on the forum and not someone with zero posts and who simply jumps in to get something for nothing.
Please reply in this thread if you would like the item. Don't PM or email the person donating. Two reason for this, first it would operate on a first come first served basis and secondly we need to see where and to whom the item is going. From then onwards the details can be worked out via PM between the two parties.
Obviously, it should go without saying that if you take something you should only do this once and not abuse the system or be greedy. If you do take something, it would also be nice for you to offer something up in the future. Or if you feel you wish to repay the generosity of the forum member and help keep the forum going, don't forget the Donations button in green at the top of the page ;)
Cheers, Ade.
Opinions and comment welcome any interesting facts also welcome.
I am new to the forum and from the USA I will be listing much of my collection for your enjoyment and comment. I also welcome any interesting facts that you may have on items.
this is my recent purchase of a !REPLICA! m40 with camo paint. i love it especially the cost :D
I hope this doesn't seem too trivial, but of the 2 canteen covers shown, which do you think looks more authentic WW2 pattern? And why?
thanks for any help
Ian

I posted on these earlier (with some crappy pics)- I tried to research on this but it is still quite hard - being that I am new at this - so I come to the vets here on the forum - here is a better picture of the Iron Cross and the eagle
Here is what the guy selling these has to say about the items he said he found them in a box:p---
For Sale is a german ww2 Iron Cross First Class and a Army Breast Eagle.
The Iron Cross is marked M-28 and has the needle going from right to left.
