Hello, Im looking for info to portray a Soviet soldier in 1955, how much of WW2 material can I use? What new stuff was used? any images please?
many thanks
Guillermo
OK this is the only real German helmet Ive got so far its a M42 ET68 its been repainted at some point & a new decal applied, i added the chin strap as it never had one & i also added the chicken im thinking about trying to turn it in to a half basket at some point as i think that looks better. anyway only cost me £65 so im happy with it :D
as you all know im new here & so far very much enjoying the site & all the info & help that you guys provide but why is there no main section for the US or British forces of WW2 as you have for the Germans & Russians????
regards wolfman
hiya all thought I'd share this little gem with you guys, its a front seemed ww2 era m1 helmet used in the film saving private ryan . this would have been used in the opening scenes of the D-Day landings hence the damage.
as you can see it has a 1956 liner & something written in maker on the side but i cannot work out what it says its a nice edition to my collection cost about £62 on eBay & yes i know there were fakes being sold on eBay but from what i read they never stamped them & as this was not worn by any of the main characters im fairly certain this is real. any way hope you all like as much as i do:D
