Mercedes Horn button.Stalingrad.

Here's another item i won probably from the same car.I have another one of these that was dugout in Poland (that one is missing the surround) so must have been a common item on the front line's for Staff car's.I think this one can be cleaned up a little better but i have to be careful as they are quite thin and easily damaged:D

Mercedes Hubcap.Stalingrad.

Hi guy's,
I have just won this nice item from a seller on ebay who specialize's in item's dugout from the former German 6th army airfield at Gumrak. Most item's are from a huge bunker they have unearthed full of personal item's and unwanted vehicle part's.This is the first hubcap i have been able to win and i am seeking to identify it asap:D
I think it's from a Staff car such as a 38 cabriolet as it's decorative and was originally chrome plated but probably over painted in filed grey for wartime use. What do you guy's think?

Target practice Hlmet?

I found this one on a relic site too. Ive never seen a more bullet holed relic shell in all my time collecting. If it was being worn at the time i would not want to see the condition of the soldier who was wearing it:eek:

Stalingrad relic M35.

Hi guy's,
I found this interesting M35 Helmet on a Stalingrad relic site a while back and thought i would share it with the forum:)It's very unusual as it appear's to have cammo paint under the liner (or is it apple green?) as well as unit number over the top.Somthing different that i have never seen before and how's the colour? It look's like the white has reacted with other cammo paint and turned it a greenish blue colour:eek:

Soviet helmets stamp codes

Hello helmet specialists and collectors. I would like to ask for your help on Soviet helmet stamps. Beside the ones listed in M. Clawson book do you guys know any other helmet factory codes?

- CM3 : "Stalingradskiy Mashinostroitelniy Zavod"
- CT : "Stalingradskiy Traktorskiy"
- ЗКО : "Zavod Krasniy Oktyabr"
- ЧM3 : "Chelyabinskiy Mashinostritelniy Zavod"
- KM3 : "Kirovskiy Mashinostroitelniy Zavod"
- KoM3 : "Kovrovskiy Metallurgicheskiy Zavod"
- ЛM3 : "Lysvinskiy Metallicheskiy Zavod"
- TA3 : "Taganrogskiy Aviatsionniy Zavod"
- TБA3 : "Tbilisiskiy Aviatsionniy Zavod"

I have seen proofs of the following factory stamps used on WWII helmets : ЛM3, ЗКО and CT

Do you guys have any pictures of the other listed factory stamps?

Also did somebody ever heard about a "second" LMZ factory which should have been called "Lysma Metallurgicheskiy Zavod"? I have never heard about that one until recently. Somebody told me they were making helmets as well???

Last question, does anybody have in his collection a 1942, 1943 or 1944 ЛM3 stamped helmet?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Tauchretter

German U-Boat crew rebreather or "TAUCHRETTER". Got this from a friend. Unfortunately a few ugly marks, looks like patches. But fairly complete. Has a eagle and swastika stamp. Sauerstoff bottle is made by AUER and dated 14.11.42. It is said that this rebreather comes from one of the U-boats that was sank near the South African Coast, near St. Helena.
