Schmidt & co. Buckle

Hi All, I thought I'd post up my latest buy. Thanks for the 'tip-off' Ben:). As you can see it's by Schmidt & Co K.G., Schwelm. I like the way they've had 2 goes at the stamp as there's a ghost image behind the very clear stamp.

Cheers,

Richard.

More pics to follow.

Question wss cap

Hello ,

Woul dou be do kind to advise your opinions on this cap. I believe that trapezoid is ok. Cap itself looks also ok to me, but I am not so sure.
I would be nice to know your views in this respect.

Trap is hand applied, so it can be added post war.

With best regards,
Aleks

Classified ads section, Open close edit ads

Here is a small tutorial:

BUMPING AD
The BUMP AD feature allows users to "bump" their listing to the top of a category by resetting the "TIME LISTED". The BUMP AD code does NOT affect the end time, so if a listing is started for 14-days and after 7-days the user decides to "BUMP" their ad it will show at the top of the category as newly listed but it will only have 7-days remaining.

Featured ad:
The classifieds also includes a "feature ad" component and with the featured ad component there is a "Featured Ad Package" system where an Admin can charge various amounts per period. More of Featuring Ads soon! For a site to allow featuring Ads, the CREDITS SYSTEM MUST be turned on! It is possible to set the cost to list an item at "0" credits and the cost to feature an item to "0" credits if a site does not really wish to have users pay to list, but as of the current versions feature ad depends on the credits system! Currently all members have a credits for advertisments

Buying:
If you decided to buy, please click to the button "commit to buy". ( Marked "B" on the picture 3). Be sure you want it, due of the decission made, advertisment will be closed for viewing for others members until it will be remarked by the seller again for sale. After the seller marks the ad "Mark paid" the advertisment will be closed ( picture 2)
You have also ability to submit a private offer in that case ( marked "A" on the picture 3) if the seller accept offered price, he need to mark the window (marked as 2 in pic1) with username, for example: Dimas, and mark radio button as" User name", then press go, all the ads is automatically closed after the deal is made/ on hold.

Deleting AD:
Just follow the position 1 in the pic 1

Featured AD

You have ability to make your advertisements stick to the thread and visible in the frame with picture in the main page of the forum
Please mark whatever you want in the pic1 pos3

War Trophy

This candle holder was brought back from Russia by my father in law who was a 1st Sgt in the german army. He was assigned to army group Mitte which made its way to the gates of Moscow. He did tell me that he picked the candle holder up out of the ruins of a Russian church.
Guess it was used in the alter???

Look carefully study your buckles

Hi guys, I find this quite interesting and a good point. Nifartachi posted this buckle on the fakes thread and thought it was a fake like the pigeon head fake that was posted. In fact the buckle is original and probably made by Bruder Schneider but I would need better pics to confrim this. I believe it is important to study and have agood look at any buckle you think about buying and also if you get to know the make up of original buckles again you will get to a stage where straight away you will recognise real from fake straight away, just food for thought :D

Recent Normandy Finds

Hi all, my first post on this site!

I attach a few photos of some finds made recently in the Normandy area. The frame of shell cases, shrapnel and barbed wire were 'eyes only' finds on Utah beach. If you look hard enough for long enough then it is still there. I displayed the shells against a back drop of sand from Utah beach, the label is still be printed. The next pic of the 50 cal shell case complete with pebbles was found on Omaha beach (the shell was found inside a lump of cercretian (excuse my spelling!!) I decided to leave it as found. It was found after a storm with several other 50 cal cases some exploded and some fired. Any ideas what might of had such a large caliber on the beach? Did any vehicles get destroyed by direct hits? Lastly the photo of relics with the razor were all found in land about 10 miles were a battle occurred actually on D-Day. The razor is patented Canadian and dated 1937. Any ideas what the tin was for? the remains of a tooth pick were found inside? also the piece of wire - any ideas? Would welcome your comments and ideas.

Hello All,
I was offered this denazified Police Buckle & Belt last weekend at a flea market. I was wondering if it has a value?. Perhaps the Buckle is worth max 5 euro or nothing? Belt 20 euro or am I way off. Any approximate prices you could give would be welcome.
