Hi, regarding this helmet I am not quite sure what to think. The leather definitely looks old, and also when you touch it, it's definitely not new. The liner too seems to be original, as well as the color on the inside. As for the outside color, I am not sure.
The stamp is rather odd, it's in the back, where you normally find the the lot number and it reads (hard to guess) DNS64. No stamp one the side.
Chinstrap stamped Heinrich Sohn KG Neu-Ulm 1941. On the right side there might have been a decal that has been removed at some time (maybe some post-war use?). The remains of the left decal are metallic, definitely not white. I have some 100% original helmets, and comparing to them this helmet seems to be original but like never worn. I appreciate your comments!
hello,
What do you guys think about this assmann buckle?
Dear forum members - Recently I got this Ssh 40, however it looks very mint condition, but the stamp says 1943. Anybody ever seen this? The stamp also looks different from the wartime ones I found from the LMZ-Factory, so I wonder if this is a postwar stamp/fake stamp? Anybody any idea??
Hi guys,
I want to start using a metal detector because I live near many battlefields and I'd like to know what do you think is the best quality/prize metal detector.

Hi Guys
I'm new to the forum so I thought I would share part of my collection with you all.I bought these items 18 to 20 years ago.I havn't added to my collection since and i bought these in my late teens and early twenties so go easy on me as I really didn't know what I was buying at the time and in all honesty still don't.Its just that I had an interest in ww2 .These items were all bought from militaria fares in Manchester and Bolton. The tunic cost £60 can anyone tell me what year this particular one would have been made also tell me anything about the cap.The cap cost £28 can anyone tell anything about it,the armband £15 the wound badge I think £15 and the iron cross second class £3 the helmet was £20.Thanks in advance ,Dave
Hi guys,
The part I want to show you is the front leg from Mg151/20 Erdkampflafette. I was trying to get an information on different forums with no luck so far. I have a copy of related German DV and the photo of one Erdkamplafette in unknown collection (see the last picture). I seriously consider building one of them but I need some measurments and pictures of the complete one. Maybe you can help me? Thanks.

Hi
I am new to this hobby and was wondering if anyone can help me with this question. What are the laws in Germany in regards to collecting Third Reich militaria? I have come across several sites based in Germany that deal in this field and have noticed a couple of them have the Swastika edited out in the photos.
Is it legal to possess items with the Swastika in Germany? How about other Third Reich items?
Thanks for your help
