I have a Rare German book with pictures(119) and writing (in German) old German newspaper clippings, from 1914 to 1947, the story and pics start and end. very rare one of a kind pictures. it looks like a family scrap book, from one generation (WW1) to the next (ww2). it was given to my grandfather, from (picture taker) Erwin H. Kuchel. it contains pictures of hitler, and other high ranking officers, at compiegne monument. and meetings in a train, with german soldiers all around area, and a lot more. Info requested about this nsdap lapel pin

I just got this today, and have never seen one before. I was wondering if it is worth more (or less) than the ordinary NSDAP member pin. It was obviously meant to be worn in the lapel button hole. Any ideas? On the back it says: RZM and M1/75

Bits and Pieces

Hey,

Found this american medical tin amongst some car spares at a local auto jumble, I was wondering what is the best way to restore it please... ?... Dimas! :D

Also found a pair of British army binoculars and a USAAF thermos flask, I have cleaned these other two items with success but im not sure how to deal with rusty metal.

I was wondering if the resident expert Dimas could enlighten me on how to use 'Oxalic acid' to best effect! But all other suggestions would be welcomed :)

I have other war time metal objects that would also benefit from this treatment but I dont want to get it wrong and ruin them so I thought it best to ask!!

SA Medical Officer’s Brown Shirt

Here's a nice SA Medical Officer's Brown Shirt for a medical Obersturmbannfuehrer, Standarte 88, Wetzlar/Lahn or Dillenberg, Group Hessen.

Research has indicated this could be from San.-Obersturmbannführer Adolf Bohrer who assumed the position of the unit's doctor in December 1936.

There is one set of loops on the pocket, likely for a sports badge.

Hello all, one of my Italian finds

Hello

I have spent a good while trawling through these facinating forums on numerous occasions. Having finally got around to joining , I thought I would start by showing you one of my more interesting but less welcome finds.

There was no need for a detector with this, it was sitting on the surface in the leaves. A Italian Mod.35 hand grenade, this one is the SRCM version and has been thrown. I have read about them using an impact fuse and being very unstable.

Attachment 19459

I had only seen a few pictures before that point and I didnt recognise it until the small bits of red paint on the top end jogged my memory. Hope it is of interest.

Some other finds will be on here soon. Thanks

Hamp
