First time posting within this forum and would like some expert opinions on a recent acquisition I received along with some other items. This is an HJ sleeve diamond, constructed of a wool like material but in black and white.
Any help as to what is was used for towards an association, rarity (if original) and todays relative worth would be greatly appreciated.
Here is my new RK marked MS. The strike is crisp and the white plume is very prominent. The eagle is pretty wierd. Thanks emedal Barry. I'm very happy to have it in hand. What do you think? Cheers Pete
Hi guys, just a quickie before I go away, do any members live near Boston in the USA or have been there? In April next year I am going over to see my son who has just moved there, I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any good Militaria dealers in that area or any interesting places in general to go and see. Thanks :D
I was offered these today and I am wondering when they were made. They are in mint condition along with the leather case. They also have a rose colored lense that can be used for bright light. I am sorry but this is the only picture I made (with phone). Thanks for any information.
A friend send me this image from a SS duck billed helmet w/comb. Is strange to me a usual fire men/Luftschutz helmet with this SS decals. Is this true or fake? Attachment 14301
Hope this is the correct section, it didn't seem to fit anywhere in particular.
Just got sent a question by a mate of mine:
"I am curious if you might have any idea of when the slant style Merkur Double Edge razor came into being? I have early Merkur slants with Gillette style handles, Apollos, and Ben-Hurs. I am not sure which was the first and when they were first produced. If you have any idea I would appreciate your input.
I also have a few labeled Escher hones. I am looking for information regarding the company's possible advertising regarding the difference in color relating to the grit of the hone. They produced Dark Blue, Blue Green and Blue Grey.
There must have been a rhyme and reason behind the color coding and I assume that there may be some reference to it in old barber supply catalogs but I haven't had any luck in turning anything up. Any help would be greatly appreciated."
So, I know these items whilst not 100% military often turn up as pack fillers etc. and wondered if any guys here have anything to input?
