I obtained this grouping many years ago in Germany. It belongs to Rolf Bergmann, NCO in GD Fuehrerhauptquartier and consists of photos an documents.
He is seen here in a variety of photos with Hitler's entourage including Colonel Schmundt, Hitler's adjutant (later killed in Stauffenberg's July 20, 1944 bomb plot)
I suspect the man was Schmundt's driver while he was attached to the Fuehrerhauptquatier. There are two personal letters from Schmundt to him as well as a small portrait photo apparently removed from an identity document. The latter may have been a souvenir given to Bergmann by Schmundt when the man was transfered to the Eastern Front.
According to Hijak's Polish Helmet book, this Plish body armour is designated wz 17. It is illustrated in the book as well. I don't know anything about its use. I've never seen another one.
