Thought I’d show the new tropical buckle I picked up this week. An nice worn buckle with a great tropical tab. The buckle is unmarked as far as I can see. What’s interesting about this buckle it the paint job on it. It had a grey overpaint over the factory tropical paint which I believe may indicate that it was used by the kriegsmarine coastal artillery. Please correct me if I’m wrong, and as always, any opinions are welcome.
Cheers,

This badge is available for sale locally, and I took some detailed pictures of the piece first:
At first glance, it seems fine (other than it being very clean and shiny), so I did some more digging into the "L/63" makers mark and ran across this on this forum from 2014:

I assume the badge I took photos of is just another one of the fakes that the 2014 poster showed?
I assume stay away (particularly since Big Ned passed sentence on it ), but I figured I’d post it here, and bring further awareness for new members of these (I assume) fakes out there.
Thanks as always!
Quiz time! Please help identify the generals pictured here with JP. Konarzewski and Zeligowski are immediately recognizable. I am less certain about Skierski and Dowbor-Musnicki, so am more than receptive to correction and rebuke :). How about the other chaps?
Regards,
Tony
