As a collector of Jersey identity cards from the German Occupation of the Island it really saddens me to see the attached card. It has turned up for sale by auction and although its a 100% original card at sometime in the past some complete idiot has added a really bad eagle and swastika stamp to it. Jersey identity cards were never stamped by the Germans so this one really stands out. Such a shame an honest item has been in my opinion ruined. I am sure this is not the first nor the last original item which has extra"bling" added to it to increase its value….. unfortunately for me it has devalued it to the point of not being worth collecting.
Just thought I would share this in case anyone is tempted to buy it.

Hey all,

This collar tab "came with" the collection I bought recently. By "came with" I mean that he literally threw it in as he could not authenticate it. I saw that at least two ranks had the SS runes with no piping around the edge (Sturmtscharführer or Hauptscharführer as listed above) and the runes themselves have a decent symmetry and position on the tab.

The stitching is slightly odd though, in that the center is not as dense or "filled in" as other examples I’ve seen. The edge of the runes seem to have a pronounced border as well.

Halfway decent fake, or real after all?

Description: Nice police bayonet with rifle slot and matching numbers. this one is well marked on both sides of the blade and has a spine stamp that I cant make out, it looks like a K with a Flower maybe. scabbard does have about 1 inch of loose thread near the top. shipping to the USA and Canada only at this time. shipping is $24.00 and I cover the paypal fees.
