Need help! WW1 German Brass Helmet Plaque?

I received this brass plaque/plate quite cheaply.

Can any one identify what it’s for?

There doesn’t seem to be any stamps or numbers on it, so possibly it could be part of a bigger piece?

I like it as it’s unusual..

Any ideas, much appreciated cool militaria
