un clipped us dog tag

Hi folks quick question were all US WW2 dog tags clipped, i received this , told it was ground dug up but un clipped

single disc a ground recovered item

reading " WILMOTH RANDAL 400 70 4180 A POS BAPT

My guess it is post war.
