SS Prinz Eugen and a named Officer’s Sword

Hello to all,

This is my first post here. I just listed two WWII German swords on GB ( not sure if thats the best place for them to be sold ) Both of these are from a local estate. Please take a look if you have any interest. Feedback welcome.

Third Reich Panzer troops visor hat for NCOs. That is the contract and official issue cap which was worn by German tank units. Under the sweatband is a producer markings, but they are not clear. The sweat diamond on the cap is missed due of use. The cap is well worn, but perfect in condition, the cap is made of tricot diagonal wool and has a rose wool piping on it. Size 57 marked on the liner. Very good worn condition, with no any damages.

Third Reich cavalry troops visor hat for officers. Contract official issue cap. The cap is well worn and crusher style, due of use on the front, insignia attached by owner is hand embroidered. The hat is completed and has a celluloid sweat shield on the liner. The cap is maker marked under the sweatband and dated 1939 year. As all other contract caps, they are similar in construction and this is a textbook example made of diagonal tricot wool and has yellow wool pipings. Size 55

Third Reich RKB - Reichskriegerbund cap, the WW1 veterans organization. The green piping shows that the veteran was in the service in the Gebirgsjäger truppe- mountain troops. Very nice condition and quality cap, made of high quality wool. The hat has a sweat diamond on the liner with a producer tag " Aug. Oberg Muetzenfabrik Pappenburg und Weener. Small size approx 55, Very good condition with just a couple moth nips at the lower piping. Still a very nice and highly collectible example.

Third Reich early salty crusher cap for artillery. The hat has a hand embroidered wreath and early M 34 eagle on it, stitched to the cap with sawing machine. The cap is hardly used and has some damages and period repairings, visor looks like reattached by owner back to the cap, and placed is a bit wrong to the cap, but that make the cap is more impressive, due of war time repairings. The cap has markings, but unreadable, due of hard worn. Size approx 57

Third Reich pioneer troops crusher type visor hat. Wool diagonal tricot made cap, with black wool piping. Cheap cardboard soft visor with hand written size 57 on it, a little bit damaged due of use, on the place where the visor sits on the cap. Leather sweatband is soft but is damaged on one side. The liner is damaged due of use and around due of rust, looks like the owner has put the steel wire around the cap to make a more fashionable view, the wire was rusted away and the liner repaired , probably that was a period repair. The dark green cap band is moth damaged and has some minor holes on it. Hand embroidered wreath cockade and Aluminum eagle. Size approx 57.

Under the sweatband is a producer markings: Wilhelm Wethekam Dresden 1937 and unit's markings 1/Pi.18 . The sweat diamond on the cap is partially missed due of use. The cap is worn, but perfect in condition, the cap is made of tricot diagonal wool and has a black wool piping on it. Size 58,5 marked on the liner. Very good worn condition, with no any damages

M38 Feldmuetze transport troops converted to officers. There is added aluminum officers cord, which is hand stitched to the hat. Dark green eagle is missed, but there traces where eagle was connected to the cap. The soutache is light blue color and dark green "eye" cockade is original to the cap. Size 59 and depot H for Hannover and 40 wich means year. Maker's mark is visible and readable. M 43 "Geschoente" tunic, a little bit shortened, and added fold like stripes to the pockets. The tunic is in rank of Oberfeldwebel of Jager troops, and has a signals branch on the left sleeve. All the items as whistle, wound badge and medal bar and the insignia itself are completed and in the condition as we got it from a friend who got this tunic from a veteran's family. A couple of 2 cents size moth holes at the left cuff and a left pocket, and two holes on the right side lower pocket's area, which is post war repaired. Size is small to medium.

“Nebel” officer peaked cap

Hi everyone,
It's my firs post here and I'd like to share with you this cap just arrived in.
It's a Nebel officer visor cap and the lighter green band set it in the years before the conflict.
I'd still give it a soft brush hit.....but I like it a lot.
A really good "combat" look and inside there is the celluloid shield with an obscure maker:
Ferd Matt - Germersheim. I did some researches about this maker but I didm't find nothing, if someone knows something or has a cap of the same producer I'll be really glad to have a look at...!!!
The metal cockade got a really heavy hit...look at the pic....
Just one odd thing, but for sure you'll be able to explain it to me:
as you can read on the celluloid there's witten: "stirdruckfrei", but
I don't see any classical "stirndruckfrei" systems as we are used to see on pekuro or similar.......maybe only a gimmick or it's referred to that material between the SB and the inner band?
For sure I don't see any kind of odd things that would rise "red flags" to me.....
