need help identifying this piece

Hi, can you possibly help me to identify this object? It was found a couple of years ago on a beach at the foot of cliffs at Longues-sur-mer, Normandy,France.
I approached museums in the area, but couldnt get anyone to identify it or to take it off my hands, so im trying to satisfy my curriosity.
I have contacted a few aviation groups as well as archeological groups since getting home and have so far been told that it could be the nose cone from a drop tank or maybe a bomb, but would either of these been riveted so heavily?
I have included some scale to the picture, which isnt the best of quality below.
The slabs on wich the picture has been taken ive measured to be 550mm
Starting at the front of the cone, the depressed circle at the very end has a 40mm diameter. Each of the raised paterns around this are 50mm wide.
Each rivet is 15mm diameter, there are 19 rivets in total. The radius of the cone behind the rivet line is 625mm.
The diameter across the rear is an estimated 720mm, as only one side has survived.
Finally from nose to tail measures 680mm
I will try and get some better pictures if it would help?

Early “Kampfzeit” full face swastika buckles

Here are a brace of the early (Kampfzeit) "full face" and "upright" swastika buckles, which of course are now well documented.

They have been attributed to both the Freikorp and the very early SS, which I think is somewhat fanciful and instead, perhaps it is just an ad hoc and early overt NS buckle, possibly dating from the mid 1920's.

The buckle by the way appears to have an almost "cottage industry" feel and despite the first one posted, displaying a quite professional method of construction and a makers mark.

David

TK INSIGNIAS etc.

Couldn't resist showing these items I found last week, for their scarcity value and interest. Title is mint and double tagged, tab is used. So not from the same uniform.
Peter.

I actually got the news a few weeks ago so I am a little late. But in about 6 weeks I am going to be promoted to Technical Sergeant (E-6). I'm pretty happy about it. Just though I would let you guys know.

NSFK Baskenmuetze

For sale on one of the leading sites (Shea) is this head wear, which I think to be quite rare.

Do others have such objects in their collections?

It is not what I collect, but this looks like an intriguing piece.

Daggers and Sword at Auction tomorrow 7/15

I just got back from an auction preview, the auction will be held tomorrow, apparently it is from two or three estates.

I was there admiring two Kar98s and a few Broom Handles when I saw these daggers and swords.

Tried to grad some quick pictures, sorry I wasn't able to take more. While I don't know much about these, my German heritage and admiration for those who fought in this war makes me think I need one, but I'm a sucker waiting to be taken as I know zilch.

Wondered if, given the lack of detailed info, anyone can firm whether these appear to be legitimate or not.

Need help! 2nd patt luft dagger wire query

Hi chaps!! Sorry for the rubbish pictures but my camera is not very good. I have owned this dagger for about 3 years and bought it from a dealer that I trust. When it arrived, I immediately queried the wire binding on the handle as I had not seen that configeration before. The Dagger is made by Tiger. The wire has 4 strands in total. One single strand on the outside. Then two strands wound together in the middle and one single strand on the other side. I have researched hundreds of these daggers and cannot find wire like this. It appears to be wound like the wire on the 1st pattern Luft Dagger. Has anyone come across this before???. I was offered a replacement dagger at the time but kept this one. Cheers in advance Andy
